Hollander Printing
Systems (HPS) offers a selection of the best inkjet inks for digital textile
printing. As different processes need different types of ink, HPS provides a
range of inks for both the Epson DX4 print-head as well as the SII-508 print-head.
The HPS inksets are specifically developed for the highest quality and
runability in its ColorBooster printers and all inks are water based.
High Energy
Disperse Direct Ink for Outdoor and Indoor Use on Polyester
For the highest UV
resistance and widest color gamut, HPS offers its disperse direct ink. This
type of ink is used to print directly onto a polyester media. It differs from
the low energy kind, in that the light fastness properties are much better.
Color fading is much less and therefor, this ink type is best suited for
outdoor use (flags, banners, fence fabric etc.). The high energy kind is also
perfectly suited for indoor use: it offers the best solution for both worlds.
The HPS high energy disperse direct ink comes in 9 pure colors: cyan, magenta, yellow,
black, orange, green, violet, blue and dark red. This ensures the widest color
gamut possible.
The specific inkset
configuration is delivered per user requirement: the HPS ColorBooster 230 and
XL with Epson print-heads by default includes 8 pure colors (CMYK-ORGV); the
HPS ColorBooster XL with SII print-heads by default includes CMYK-Lk-V (5 pure
colors and one light tone).
Low Energy
Sublimation Ink for Indoor Use on Polyester
As an alternative to
the high energy disperse direct inks, HPS offers a low energy sublimation inkset
(“dye-sub”). This ink can be used for printing onto transfer paper, but can
also be used in a direct to media process. The low energy kind has less UV
resistance and is therefore well suited for indoor use. Both the high energy
as well as the low energy inkset is
specially formulated to offer the best printability and runability. The HPS
sublimation inks are available in 4 pure colors as standard set (cyan, magenta,
yellow and black), but upon request, HPS can offer customer specific inkset
configurations. Available additional colors are orange, blue and the light
tones of CMYK.
Acid Ink for Nylon
and Silk
For printing directly
onto nylon and silk, HPS has an acid inkset. These inks require a different post-processing
(steaming and washing) and are not intended for polyester media. The HPS acid
inkset is predominantly used for the production of nylon flags and nylon
carpets. The acid inkset comes in 6 pure colors: cyan, magenta, yellow, black,
blue and rubine. Additionally, HPS can offer orange, violet and light black.
Reactive Ink
for Wool, Linen, Cotton and Leather
HPS’ focus is on
printing on textile media for visual communication. However, with converging
markets and the need to also print on different, natural, textile media, HPS
offers a reactive inkset. The reactive inkset comes in 8 pure colors: cyan,
magenta, yellow, black, orange, red, green and blue. Additionally, a light
black is available.
Pigment Ink as
Future Alternative
Until recently, a
pigment ink did not deliver the color brilliance and runability properties for
use in high capacity industrial inkjet systems such as the ColorBooster
printer. HPS is one of the few manufacturers to deliver a flexible and custom print-head
configuration, with the freedom to add color channels or change color sets. This
has opened up possibilities to also deliver pigment ink as an alternative. HPS doesn’t
deliver pigment ink as a standard set. Inquiries about possibilities can be
